Every poem on the night is about the same thing. You just won't know what it is until the end. Subtext brings six curated poets into the centre of the room at Shai Space, each joined by a live musician who responds to their words as they're spoken. Different voices, different stories, and one word quietly running underneath all of them. The second half opens the floor. Six open mic slots, five minutes each with no musical accompaniment, are available to sign up for on the door.
