Poetical Outlaws is a non-funded DIY spoken word & music night held at Diego's Joint in Sunderland hosted by Gary the Hat. We provide a stage for people of all backgrounds, genders & sexualities to express themselves creatively in a fun & safe environment. We also want to give artists a chance to get paid for performing their work so entry is £5 cash on door, which gets shared between the 3 Wanted Fugitives. FEATURED ARTISTS Three wanted fugitives will be performing a set on the night for their bail money (a share of the profits) OPEN MIC 5 minutes slots will be available for spoken word artists, poets, comedians etc. Sign up is on the night at the door from 7pm - 7.25pm. MINI SLAM This will be a bit of fun with a chance to be a Wanted Fugitive at a future event up for grabs. Three outlaws will go head to head in a shootout. They will have one round of bullets (one poem) each with up to 3 minutes to shoot as many audience members as possible (audience decides winner). Sign up on the night at the door.
